Appleton Museum ASL Video

Below is a preview video of the "Story of Arthur I. Appleton" with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation by Kayla Surdam.

To further learn about Marion County's cultural gem, continue viewing this video on the history of the Appleton Family and the museum itself.

The total video lasts 7:08min and was developed to include ASL to assist visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing.

When visiting the museum, the video with ASL translation can also be viewed in the Auditorium as part of the ongoing exhibition, Artistic Legacy : The Story of Arthur I. Appleton and the Appleton Museum of Art.

The Appleton is also in the process of translating a selection of the museum's Art Minutes and Teaching Tuesday videos into American Sign Language. The ASL-interpreted videos can be found on the museum's YouTube channel.
