Initially educated in journalism, Grossmann decided to pursue art in the 1980s. Themes of marginalization, abandonment and personal growth influence much of her work. She was featured in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s “Young Romantic” painters exhibit as an important artist of the new generation. Grossmann’s diverse style does not have a clear evolution as she regularly uses several art mediums, including painting, collage and sketching.
